No período entre 12 e 17 de fevereiro os professores David Costa (diretor) e Cristina Parreira (Adjunta da direção) participaram no curso Leadership and Management for School Principals, que decorreu em Estrasburgo (França).
We had the opportunity to participate in a training course in Strasbourg focused on school management and administration. This course, part of the Erasmus+ program, provided valuable insights and practical knowledge essential for effective educational leadership.
Throughout the training, we engaged in various activities designed to enhance our understanding of efficient school administration. We attended sessions on topics such as strategic planning, resource management, and fostering inclusive educational environments. Additionally, we had interactive sessions where we could exchange best practices and innovative ideas with fellow participants from different countries, enriching our perspectives and professional networks.
Apart from the intensive training sessions, the program also included cultural visits, allowing us to explore the rich history and vibrant culture of Strasbourg. We visited the iconic Strasbourg Cathedral, a masterpiece of Gothic architecture, and took a scenic boat tour along the Ill River, which offered stunning views of the city's picturesque medieval architecture and charming neighborhoods.
Moreover, we had the chance to visit the European Parliament, where we gained a deeper understanding of the European Union's workings and its impact on education policies across member states. These cultural experiences not only enhanced our appreciation of Strasbourg’s heritage but also provided a well-rounded context to our educational training, highlighting the importance of cultural awareness in school administration.
Overall, this Erasmus+ course in Strasbourg was an incredibly enriching experience, combining professional development with cultural immersion, and equipping us with the skills and knowledge to better manage and lead our educational institutions.
